OUR FOUNDER

Lisa Koenigsberg, MSCCC-SLP, is the founder of The Center for Speech & Language Development. She has been in the field of Speech-Language Pathology for over twenty years. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as well as a certified Compton PES-L trainer. She regularly participates in continuing education courses to maintain her state of the art skills. She is committed to the success of her clients.

Throughout her career, she has worked to evaluate and treat children with varied diagnoses in a variety of settings. Her pediatric practice focuses on feeding and swallowing, oral-motor coordination, language development, apraxia, dysarthria, articulation and parenting assistance. Her adult practice focuses on Accent Reduction with heavily accented non-native English speakers to a more standard American accent. Lisa has worked with professionals who did not learn English as a first language or clients who have a strong regional accent.

Marissa Baras, MS CCC-SLP has over ten years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and she regularly participates in continuing education courses to maintain her skills. She is committed to the success of her clients.

She is extremely passionate about working with young children and their families. Throughout her career, she has worked to evaluate and treat children with varied diagnoses in a variety of settings. Marissa specializes in working with young children and is focused on feeding and swallowing; oral-motor coordination; language development; apraxia; articulation; and parenting assistance.

Tara Holden, MA CCC-SLP has been using her background in speech and language pathology and special education in a variety of capacities, including as a speech-language pathologist and special education teacher, for the past ten years. She is a member of the American Speech-Hearing Association (ASHA) and enjoys attending professional development to stay up-to-date on current best practices. Tara has experience working with individuals ranging in age from preschool through high school, with her primary focus on the preschool and early elementary ages. Her passion lies in helping children gain functional skills to be independent and successful throughout their day. Tara has worked with children to provide articulation, receptive/expressive language, and pragmatics therapy. Additionally, she has experience with assistive technology. She is committed to finding creative and engaging ways to motivate children to communicate and be active participants in their learning.

Evey Margolies, OT/L, is agraduate of the University of Toronto. She has been working in the field of occupational therapy for over 30 years. Her experience includes working with infants, toddlers, and school age children ina variety of settings including pediatric inpatient units, outpatient clinics, the school system, and Early intervention. Her pediatric specialties include sensory processing, motor planning, developmental delays, fine motor, visual motor, and socialemotional challenges. Evey enjoys collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to achieve optimal success using a family centered approach.

Catie Pappas, MS, CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has been with this private practice for over 3 years. Catie has an MS in Speech-Language Pathology from Midwestern University. She has experience working with children ages 6 months through high school. She has worked with children and their families to provide articulation, receptive/expressive language, hearing, and pragmatic language therapy. She believes it is important to incorporate the child’s interests during therapy to maximize motivation and to empower the child to learn.

Miriam Romanoff, MS, CFY-SLP is a Speech-Language Pathologist who graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA from Blitstein Institute of Touro University and a MS from Katz School of Science and Health of Yeshiva University. Miriam has experience working with toddlers through high school aged clients as well as children and families to provide articulation, receptive/expressive language, and pragmatic therapy. Miriam is passionate about helping children reach their potential with confidence, by addressing their individual needs.

Kaylee Tolley, M.S., CCC-SLP, has been a speech-language pathologist for eleven years. She is passionate about working with the pediatric population to allow children to participate across environments with as much independence as possible. Her experience includes working with children who have neuromotor impairments, feeding disorders, oral-motor impairments, apraxia of speech, and speech and language disorders.
